Summer Vacation in Vancouver | NJ Travel Photographer

Oh Vancouver! How we fell in love with this beautiful, ethnically diverse, livable coastal city. My family did so many different things from bike riding around Stanley Park, visiting art galleries in Gastown, enjoying the harbor views on Granville Island and eating from all the different food trucks (yum!). We were in awe of the culture and art of First Nations peoples of the Pacific Northwest. Amazing totem poles, sculpture and stories. Every day felt like an adventure!

Here is a photo recap of our Vancouver adventure (mixture of SLR and iPhone pics).

We stayed at the uber-chic Hotel Georgia. It was in a great location and had amazing customer service. Must do's are renting bikes and riding around Stanley Park - you will love it and be amazed at all the views. Perfect family outing.

Other fun attractions :  Fly Over Canada - virtual flight; Granville Island - public market of food, arts and crafts; Museum of Anthropology - make sure to take a museum tour and hear all the interesting stories behind the totem poles and native art.

Our favorite restaurants were Cactus Club Cafe, Vijs (Best Indian Food Ever!) and Tojos (Sushi). But really there were so many tasty options.

Overall, it was a great trip! We fell in love with Vancouver and even put it on our list of "Cities We Could Possibly Live In."
