I must confess. I am a learning addict. I am the type of gal that takes out stacks of books from the library. I sign up for a million webinars. I read hundreds of blogs. I get excited about every workshop or conference that comes my way. I want to do it ALL! I just love to learn and get inspired. But, of course I can't do it all. I try to pick the best photography workshops that will really push my craft and teach me something new. I look for mentors and teachers that have a business that I admire and create work that gets me excited.
I am over the moon that I will be leaving this week for a photography workshop in Austin, Texas taught by the uber talented Stephanie Rausser. Her editorial and advertising photography blows me away. Every image has me chuckling or smiling. Her images are everywhere! I am excited to learn not only photo techniques but also more about the commercial photography world.
It has always been a dream of mine to one day work with children's fashion companies like Mini Boden, Tea Company, Pink Chicken, Crew Cuts. Maybe shoot a cover for Parents or Seventeen magazine? Hopefully, these 2 days of education will get me one step closer to my big dreams.
